BOSTON, Mass. -- The Eastern Hockey League has announced its Players of the Week for Oct 7-14, 2013.  Left to Right:  Oskar Gerhardson, Josh Creelman and Jeffrey Beck.

OFFENSIVE:  Jeffrey Beck, Philadelphia Junior Flyers
Beck scored four goals at the Columbus Day Showcase, including two game-winners, to lead the Junior Flyers to a 2-1-0-0 record at the event.  Beck's second game-winner on Monday was an overtime tally that completed his hat trick in a 5-4 victory over Applecore.  He now has six goals in six games so far this season, which ties him for the league lead in goals per game.

DEFENSIVE:  Oskar Gerhardson, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights
The 5-10 Swede was instrumental in the Knights posting a 3-0-0-0 record at the Showcase by keeping pucks away from the net and getting the offense started out of the defensive zone. Wilkes-Barre surrendered only two goals the entire weekend and posted two shutouts.  Gerhardson also chipped in with game's only goal in 1-0 win over Junior Flyers.

GOALTENDER:  Josh Creelman, New Jersey Rockets
The 1996 birth year netminder ran his record to a perfect 6-0-0-1 with two victories at last weekend's Showcase.  He kicked away 41 shots en route to a shutout against the New York Bobcats and made 24 saves in win over New York Applecore.  So far on the season he has a GAA of 2.12 and a save percentage of .942.
