Redler, Rodericks, and Larson Named 3 Stars of the Week

The week following our Columbus Day Showcase was relatively "quiet" in comparison, with EHL action taking place October 16th through 18th. The week featured 12 games across the league.

It was once again a difficult decision in terms of picking this week's award winners, and the EHL has selected Nolan Redler (Northern Cyclones), Connor Rodericks (Walpole Express), and Joshua Larson (Philadelphia Jr. Flyers) as the recipients.

NOLAN REDLER

Redler and the Cyclones won their only game of the weekend, beating the New England Wolves by the score of 14-2. The win puts the Cyclones in 4th place in the North Conference.

Redler's 5 points give him 15 total for the season, which is good for a tie for 7th in the league. The Massachusetts native also ranks 3rd in goals scored with 8 total, and has registered at least a point in 6 of the the 7 games for the Cyclones this year.

CONNOR RODERICKS

Rodericks and Express won both of their games this weekend by the score of 4-1. The Massachusetts native played stellar in net both nights for Walpole, helping them earn 4 points and sole possession of 2nd place in the North Conference.

Roderick's pair of victories puts him in a tie for 1st in wins in the EHL with Kenny Graham of Boston Bandits, and it's worth noting that the goal given up on Friday came when the Express we're killing off a 5v3 power-play.

JOSHUA LARSON

Larson and the Jr. Flyers swept their weekend series versus the Nighthawks, winning 5-3 on Saturday and 5-1 on Sunday. The big forward had 5 total points over the weekend, including the GWG on Saturday.

Through 7 games the Jr. Flyers are 4-2-1, and are currently riding a three-game winning streak. Larson will look to lead the Jr. Flyers to a 4th straight win on Monday the 26th when they take on the New Jersey Rockets.

HONORABLE MENTION

This week's honorable mentions come from the Philadelphia Revolution as they swept their series against the Connecticut Oilers by scores of 2-0 and 3-0.

Cayden Primeau started in net on Saturday for the Revolution, stopping all 39 shots he faced. Primeau has made two starts this season, picking up the win in both games, while stopping 79 of the 80 shots he's faced.

Mike Cosentino started in net on Sunday for the Revolution, stopping all 30 shots he faced. Cosentino has 5 wins this season, but more notably, he's played 515 minutes in net, which ranks 2nd overall in the league statistics. The New Jersey native only trails Michael Tilford of the Connecticut Oilers.

Tilford was in net both nights for the Oilers, and while the results were disappointing, the Michigan native stopped 83 of the 88 shots he faced over the weekend.
