Kennedy, Primeau, and LaCroix Named 3 Stars of the Week

It was a busy week in the Eastern Hockey League, highlighted by the Military Appreciation Day hosted by the New York Bobcats as well as the Oilers Fight Cancer Night put on by the Connecticut Oilers. Also this week, the EC Red Bull Salzburg U20 team began their exhibition schedule against the EHL.

This week, the EHL has selected Corey Kennedy (New York Bobcats), Cayden Primeau (Philadelphia Revolution), and Christian LaCroix (Connecticut Oilers) as the recipients.

COREY KENNEDY

Kennedy and the Bobcats won their only game of the weekend, but it was arguably the most important for the team so far this season. The North Carolina native led his team to a 5-0 victory over the Applecore on Military Appreciation Day on Long Island.

Kennedy's 4 points give him 16 total for the season, which leads the team and puts him in a tie for 11th in the league. Kennedy's 3 assists give him 14 total, which is the 2nd most overall in the league, proving how much of a play-maker the 20-year-old is. Not to go unnoticed, Kennedy's goal was the GWG on Saturday, just like the 1st goal he scored this season. We got that timely scoring.

CAYDEN PRIMEAU

Primeau and the Revolution won their only game of the weekend, shutting out the Little Flyers 2-0 on Friday night. The win is the team's 4th in their last 5 games, with all 4 wins being shutouts of their opponents. Zach Skop (1) - Cayden Primeau (2) - Mike Cosentino (1)

Primeau is a 16-year-old netminder who has already signed his commitment to Northeastern University. So far this season Primeau has made 3 starts, and has stopped 116 of the 117 shots he has faced. Primeau plays true to his 6'3" frame in net, and has been simply unbeatable. The win propels the Revolution into first place in the South Conference, and 2nd place in the league standings.

CHRISTIAN LACROIX

In comparison to the first two stars, it was a much busier weekend for LaCroix and the Oilers. The Oilers beat the Rockets on Thursday, the Nighthawks on Friday, and then the EC Red Bull Austria team on Sunday (exhibition).

LaCroix's 4 points give him 17 total, which leads the team and puts him a tie for 6th overall in the league. Not to go unnoticed, LaCroix also got his name on the scoresheet on Sunday when he scored the game-winning-goal against EC Red Bull Salzburg. The big week helped push the Oilers up into 2nd place the South Conference.
