Feldman, Newman, and Betchel Named 3 Stars of the Week

This past weekend featured our Veteran's Day Showcase in Simsbury, CT. All 18 EHL teams were in attendance, as we dropped the puck for 27 total games in the 3 days (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday).

This week, the EHL has selected Zach Feldman (Walpole Express), Cam Newman (New Jersey Rockets), and Connor Bechtel (Hartford Jr. Wolfpack) as the EHL Stars of the Week.

Starting this week, the EHL will now also be selecting a team of the week from each division. This week, the Philadelphia Revolution are the EHL Team of the Week.

Zach Feldman

Feldman and the Express finished the Veteran's Day Showcase with 5 total points, which puts them in 2nd place in the North Conference (3 points behind the Boston Bandits).

Feldman's 4 points give him 16 total for the season, which leads all defensemen on Walpole and places him as one of the top 35 scorers in the league.

Cam Newman

Newman and the Rockets won all 3 of their games this weekend, helping to move New Jersey into 4th place in the South Conference.

Newman's 127 saves paved the way for New Jersey, as the Rockets remain the only team with a perfect record (6-0) in the Premier Division Showcases so far this season.

Connor Bechtel

Betchel and the Wolfpack won 2 of their 3 games this weekend, maintaining their spot in 2nd place in the South Conference

Betchel's four-point weekend gives him 23 total points for the season, which leads the Wolfpack, and places him 8th overall in league scoring. The major highlight for #18 came from him signing his commitment letter to play at Salve Regina starting in the Fall of 2016.

Philadelphia Revolution - EHL Team of the Week

There were two teams that finished the weekend unbeaten, the New Jersey Rockets and the Philadelphia Revolution. The Revolution are this week's EHL Team of the Week, because their unbeaten streak stretches back to the Columbus Day Showcase. On the final day in Hudson, the Revolution lost to the Bandits 5-2, but since then have rolled on a franchise record nine-game winning streak. During the stretch, the Revolution have outscored their opponents 35-7, thanks to 5 shutouts during the streak.

Philadelphia is led by the Primeau brothers ...

  • Chayse (forward) has 24 points so far this season which leads the team and is tied for 6th in the league.

  • Cayden (goalie) has made 7 starts this season, winning all 7 games, 4 of which by way of the shutout. The 6'2" goalie has a 0.60 GAA and a .983 Save Percentage

The Revolution will look to make it 10 wins in a row when they travel to face the Applecore in Brewster on Saturday afternoon.
