Mack, Tralmaks, and Powell Named 3 Stars of the Week

We're just over a month away from the postseason, and the action is heating up! The blizzard this past weekend forced a number of game cancellations, but regardless, there were still plenty of worthy candidates for our weekly honors.

This week, the EHL has selected Cameron Mack (Connecticut Nighthawks), Eduards Tralmaks (Boston Bandits), and Connor Powell (New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs) as the EHL Stars of the Week.

Team of the week honors are going to the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, and also make sure to check out the EHL Honorable Mention recipients, and the EHL Video of the Week.

CAMERON MACK

Mack and the Nighthawks won their only game this weekend, knocking off the Applecore by the score of 8-2 on Friday. The Nighthawks weekend series with the Little Flyers was postponed and will be made up on February 23rd and 24th, times TBA. The Nighthawks are currently holding on to the final playoff spot in the South Conference.

With the hat-trick on Friday, Mack now has 21 points this season (12 goals, 9 assists), which puts him tied with Quinn Ryan for the team lead. Mack will look to pick up where he left off when the Nighthawks face-off against the Bobcats next Sunday morning on Long Island.

EDUARDS TRALMAKS

Tralmaks and the Bandits won their only game this weekend, knocking off the Rangers by the score of 6-2 on Saturday. With the win the Bandits maintain their spot at the top of the North Conference standings, with a record of 22-7-3 (47 points).

With the hat-trick on Saturday, Tralmaks is now 6th in the league in scoring with 45 points, and his 8th game-winning goal leads the EHL in that category. This is the 2nd time the Latvian has won Stars of the Week honors, as he was also one of the top performers at the Columbus Day Showcase. Tralmaks has 9 points in his last 4 games, and will look to stay hot when Bandits host the Cyclones (Wednesday) and Monarchs (Saturday).

CONNOR POWELL

Powell and the Monarchs won both their games this weekend, shutting out the Wolves on Friday and beating the Cyclones on Saturday. The four-point weekend moves the Monarchs within 1 point of the top spot in the North Conference.

The six-point weekend gives Powell 46 points on the season, which leads the team and puts him in a tie for 4th in league scoring. Powell has 9 points during the Monarchs three-game winning streak, and will look to keep things rolling next weekend against the Warriors (Friday) and Bandits (Saturday).

EHL TEAM OF THE WEEK

This week's top team in the EHL is the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs. The Monarchs won both their games this weekend, and now are within a single point of the top spot in the North Conference.

New Hampshire will look to keep things rolling next weekend against the Warriors on Friday, and then against the 1st-place Bandits on Saturday.

EHL HONORABLE MENTION

This week the EHL would like to recognize the Philadelphia Little Flyers with a EHL Honorable Mention. The Little Flyers won their only game this week, extending their winning streak to 8 games. The Little Flyers have also won 16 of their last 17 games, and are currently tied for the top spot in the league with 50 points.

The Little Flyers return to action this weekend at the Philadelphia Revolution Mini-Showcase in Warwick, PA.
