Brenden Russ, a defensman for the New York Bobcats, has committed to Connecticut College for the Fall of 2016. Since joining the Bobcats in early January, Russ has a pair of assists in 13 games and has helped the Bobcats go 10-3-1 in their last 14 games.
“Brenden has been a pleasure to have in his short time here thus far," said Bobcats head coach Craig Doremus. "When we acquired Brendan shortly after the holidays, we were in need of a guy who could step in and play major minutes due to some injuries on the blue line. Brenden has elevated his game during his time here thus far and we are extremely happy and proud of him on his commitment to Connecticut College. Brenden’s two-way game will be a good addition to their defensive core next season. He has the ability to play in every situation on the ice and will be a good dressing room guy as well."
