EHL Announces Annual Awards for the EHL Division

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League is pleased to announce this year's annual award winners in the EHL Division. The voting for this year's awards was very tight, as there were plenty of worthy candidates throughout the league.

Here are this year's winners as voted on by the coaches:

Forward - Eduards Tralmaks (Boston Bandits)
Defenseman - Marc Happy (Connecticut Oilers)
Goalie - Cayden Primeau (Philadelphia Revolution)

Eduards Tralmaks (Boston Bandits) finished 5th in the league in scoring, and placed 2nd behind only Connor Powell (New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs) in the North Conference. The native of Latvia shined during his first season in the EHL, displaying great size and speed each time he stepped on the ice. Tralmaks collected 58 points this season, 17 of which came on the power-play. Tralmaks also scored a beauty for his only short-handed goal of the season, and led the league in game-winning goals with 8. At 19-years-old, the future looks bright for this season's Forward of the Year.

Marc Happy (Connecticut Oilers) followed up a solid 1st season in the EHL with an impressive sophomore campaign. Happy tallied 25 points last season, and then led all defensemen with 41 points during the regular season this year. Happy tallied more than half of his points while playing on the Oilers' top special teams units (21 points) and the big defensman turns 20-years-old in June. Just like Tralmaks, the future looks good for this year's Defenseman of the Year.

This year's Goalie of the Year is Cayden Primeau (Philadelphia Revolution). The 16-year-old shined during his first season in the EHL, posting a combined record of 18-7-0 (regular season and playoffs). A solid record along with a 2.16 GAA and 5 shutouts, paved the way for a solid bounce back season for the Revolution. Primeau will now prepare for the next step of his junior hockey career, as he heads to Nebraska this Fall to play for the Lincoln Stars (USHL).

Along with his Goalie of the Year accolades, Primeau is also being recognized as this season's Rookie of the Year.
