Tralmaks Wins MVP Honors

BOSTON, MA -- The accolades keep adding up for Eduards Tralmaks, a forward for the Boston Bandits. Following a solid season in Bridgewater, the native of Latvia has been named a EHL First Team All-Star, the EHL Forward of the Year, and now the EHL Division's Most Valuable Player.

"Eduards is one of the most naturally skilled players that we have seen in years," said Boston Bandits head coach Todd Stirling. "He has a unique ability to change the face of the game in an instant, with a great pass, slick move, or a big goal. Eduards was one of the key components in our run as Northern Conference Champs. Both on and off the ice, Eduards showed leadership and professionalism beyond his age. He will be missed greatly next season, however, we are very proud of his accomplishments as a player.”

This season could best be labeled as a "bounce-back" season for the Boston Bandits, as the finished the regular season with a record of 30-7-4. The 64 total points were 22 more then the Bandits racked up last season, and earned the team the top spot in the North Conference heading into the playoffs.

One of the key reasons for the team's success was the play of Tralmaks, who in his first season in the EHL, finished 5th in the league in scoring and placed 2nd behind only Connor Powell (New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs) in North Conference scoring. Tralmaks tallied 58 points during the regular season, and 3 points in 4 games during the playoffs. The numbers that stand out for Tralmaks are the Latvian's 17 power-play points, and 8 game-winning goals (led the EHL).

It's safe to say that as Tralmaks produced, so did the Bandits, as the big forward was held off of the scoresheet only 13 times all season. The Bandits lost 7 of those games.

The EHL would like to congratulate this year's MVP on a fantastic season!
