Rockets Continue to Develop and Advance Players to the Next Level

NEWARK, NJ -- In three seasons the New Jersey Rockets have racked up a total of 23 NCAA commitments. The Rockets have seen 14 of those commits head to Division I schools, 9 head to Division II and III schools, and a handful of players advance to the USHL and the OHL.

This past season, the last name Del Gaizo stood out for Rockets. Anthony Del Gaizo ('98) was leading the EHL in points, with 39 points in just 22 games when he was called up the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL. Anthony's younger brother Marc Del Gaizo ('99) spent the full season in the EHL, tallying 29 points in 36 games. Marc made his commitment to Saint Lawrence University back in February, and is hoping to join his brother in Michigan this upcoming season.

The Rockets went 20-18-3 in the regular season last year, and entered the playoffs as the 7th seed in the South Conference. In the playoffs, the Rockets last a hard-fought battle to the Connecticut Oilers, who went on to advance all the way to the Premier Semi-Finals.

The Rockets now shift gears towards what hopes to be another successful season, as they bring on a new team to the Elite Division starting this Fall.

The EHL would like to congratulate all of the Rockets players that made their NCAA Commitments this past season.
