FORWARDS OF THE MONTH

Joey Savel has tallied 18 total points this season, all of which came during the month of October. After not playing in the season opener, Savel has been in the lineup for all 14 Little Flyers' victories. The native of Sterling Heights, Michigan has been a key factor in Philadelphia's rise to the top of the league standings, and he'll look to keep things rolling when his team kicks off the month of November with a two-game set against the Connecticut Nighthawks.

On the 19U Elite side, Luke Ledes was more the distributor then the scorer this past month for the Philadelphia Revolution. The native of Yardley, PA led the league with 19 assists in October. Ledes helped his team to a nearly perfect month at 10-1-0. The Revolution begin November with a two-game set at home against the New York Applecore.

DEFENSEMEN OF THE MONTH

Similar to Savel, Zikmund Mroz total points for the season all came in the month of October. The native of Praha, Czech Republic has been rock solid on the point for the Little Flyers this season, dishing out 12 assists along the way. Mroz's impact has been felt largest on the power-play, where he has tallied 75% of his points. Mroz will look to extend this 8-game point streak this weekend in Connecticut against the Nighthawks.

In the 19U Elite Division, Michael Karas ranked at the top of the league for defensemen. The native of Parker, Colorado has been a major factor in the Vermont Lumberjacks hot start that has them sitting at the top of the North Conference standings. Karas will look to help his team start off November on a high note Saturday afternoon in the HockeyTV Game of the Week against the New England Wolves.

GOALIES OF THE MONTH

In the Premier Division, the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs battled through a month of inconsistent scoring, and emerged with an October record of 6-2-2. Jacob Weatherly was a key factor to the Monarchs success, picking up 4 wins during the month, while giving up less then 2 goals per game. The Monarchs will play their first home game of the season at Tri-Town Ice Arena tomorrow night against the Northern Cyclones.

For the 19U Elite Division, Trevor Babin was virtually unbeatable with his 1.42 GAA in October. The native of Philadelphia helped lead his team with a perfect 6-0-0 record, and came up big with a 23-save shutout on the final day of the Hooksett Showcase. Babin now turns the page with a two-game series against the New York Applecore this weekend.
