FORWARDS OF THE MONTH

Johnny Andrews was on fire for the whole month of December, tallying 13 points in 8 games and helping lead his team to 7 victories. The native of Wakefield, Massachusetts is currently ranked 3rd in the league in scoring with 39 points. Andrews will look to pick up where he left off when the Rangers return from break to face-off with the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack on Saturday night at Wesleyan University.

In the 19U Elite Division, Carl Bear tallied at least a point in all 6 December games for the New England Wolves. Bear now has 27 points in 24 total games this season, which ranks him 2nd on his team in scoring. The native of Gorham, Maine will look to keep things rolling when the Wolves return from break to face-off with the Northern Cyclones this Saturday.

DEFENSEMEN OF THE MONTH

This month's top defensman in the Premier Division was Cam Bartkoski, as the '97 tallied 8 points in 7 games for the Philadelphia Little Flyers. The native of Dallas, Texas now has 4 goals and 13 assists in 23 total games this season. Bartkoski will look to help his team maintain their nearly perfect record when they return for 12 games in the month of January.

Flip over to the 19U Elite Division, and Cory Doney helped the Vermont Lumberjacks maintain their lead at the top of the North Conference. The '99 defenseman tallied a point in all 6 games for the Lumberjacks running his total up to 24 points in 25 total games this season. Vermont currently sits at the top of their conference by 6 points, and Doney will look to help his team maintain that lead with 5 road games on the schedule in January.

GOALIES OF THE MONTH

Make that back-to-back months for the Little Flyers, as Kany grabs Goalie of the Month honors following his teammate Joseph Giacobbo, who won the award in November. Combined the Philly netminders have held their opponents to just 40 goals in 28 games this season (1.38 goals per game).

Kany was especially stellar this past month, stopping 85 of the 87 shots he faced, giving him a 0.71 GAA and a .978 save percentage for December. The native of Arizona is in his 2nd season with the Little Flyers, and currently owns a record of 31-6-2 in 39 career stars in the EHL. The '96 netminder will look to keep things rolling when his team returns for 8 straight road games to start the 2nd half.

For the 19U Elite Division, the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs won 5 of their 6 games in December, and Zach Kott was in net for 3 of those victories. Kott gave up just 1 single goal in each of his starts, improving his record to 8-1-1 on the season with a 2.87 GAA. Kott will look to continue to anchor his team when they return from break, as 9 of their next 11 games are at Tri-Town Ice Arena.
