Wolfpack Forward Set to Join Rams in the Fall of 2017

CROMWELL, CT -- Matt Bucher, a forward for the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack, has committed to Suffolk University for the Fall of 2017. In his 1st season with the Wolfpack, the '96 from Connecticut tallied 17 points in 46 total games.

"I am very happy for Matt and his family, he put a lot of time and effort in this season to improve his game," said 2016-17 Wolfpack head coach Chris Cerrella. "He had a rough start, but as the season went on Boosh [Bucher] scored some big goals for us down the stretch. I think he is going to do a great job at Suffolk and give them some power forward depth. He has a pro type shot, skates very well, and is a good size kid, which translates well to the college game. Matt is an exceptional student and an even better young man I wish him and his family the best."

While the Wolfpack's season ended sooner than they had hoped, Bucher is excited to get started with his collegiate hockey career this Fall.

"I'm excited to continue my hockey and academic career at Suffolk University. Thanks to my family for the support over the years and thanks to Coach Cerrella for helping me reach the next level."
