Applecore Defenseman Set to Join Hawks in January

BREWSTER, NY -- Quinn Robelle, a defenseman for the New York Applecore, has committed to Becker College and will be joining the Hawks in January. The '97 defenseman has five points in his first 19 games with the Applecore this season, including the game-winning goal against the Valley Jr. Warriors on October 1st.

Robelle's situation isn't extremely rare, as there are traditionally a handful of players that make their commitments and head to college in the middle of the season. Looking back at this past season, Hadan Jordan (Saint Michael's College) and Kyle Carducci (Western New England) are perfect examples of EHL players to departed for college in the middle of the year. Each player had the opportunity to advance to collegiate hockey prior to the completion of the season, and this is something that every EHL organization supports.

As for Robelle, the native of Florida is set to join a roster that already includes a handful of EHL alumni and a young defensive core that is still developing. As we get set to turn the calendar for 2018, be sure to keep an eye on Robelle as he will look to give the Hawks a boost in their final ten games of the regular season.
