LACONIA, NH -- This Saturday will be a special night for the New England Wolves as they host the East Coast Wizards in their final game of the regular season. More important then the two points that will be on the line, is the benefit night that the Wolves have put together. Saturday's game is set up to raise money for JBT and The Cure Starts Now Foundation.

John Bradley Thompson was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor on June 2, 2013 known as DIPG, an inoperable tumor that affects less than 300 kids per year and yields just a 2% survival rate.  His family, including father Jesse and mother Alison, are supporters of the Merrill Fay Arena since it’s construction in 1996.
 
On the early morning of April 9, 2014 John Bradley passed away, his 10-month battle defined by courage and love.
 
Jesse Thompson, John’s father, is a member of the NH chapter of the Cure Starts Now Foundation, a Cincinnati based organization dedicated to the fight for the cure for children with brainstem glioma and cancer survivors everywhere.  During the first intermission, Mr. Thompson will address the crowd along with a presentation from Community Partners- A local group that provides grants to families that have children fighting illness.  Lisa DiMartino and a few other local leaders are planning to attend the game, including representatives involved with the NH Council for youths with chronic conditions.
 
“The New England Wolves feel blessed to be able to represent JBT this season. He is our enduring courage, spirit and hope," said Wolves head coach and general manager Andrew Trimble.
