Little Flyers Captain Set to Join Rams this Fall

ASTON, PA -- Trevor Lewandoski, a defenseman for the Philadelphia Little Flyers, has committed to Framingham State University for the Fall of 2018. The '97 is in his third season in the EHL, and has been the leader for the Little Flyers all year along.

"We’re very excited for Trevor on his commitment to Framingham State,” said Little Flyers head coach and general manager George Lewis. “Trevor is an excellent young man and I can’t thank him enough for the three years he has spent as a Little Flyer. He’s a truly gifted player with a phenomenal work ethic and an even better attitude. He has earned this commitment. Losing a guy like Trevor is devastating to a team, but I know that he will continue to make wherever he ends up great and we couldn’t be happier to have had him for the time we did. Coach Angers and his team are very lucky to get a guy like Lewy.”

In three seasons with the Little Flyers, Lewandoski has notched 40 total points in 133 career games in the EHL. This season alone, the native of Newbury, OH has dressed in every single game for his team. It's been a great journey for Lewandoski, and he took some time to look back on his years in the EHL.

"I would like to thank my family first of all for supporting me throughout this entire journey," said Lewandoski. "I am extremely grateful for the sacrifices they have made so that I may continue my hockey career and education at Framingham State University. I would also like to thank Coach Russo, Coach Lewis and The Giacobbo family for the opportunity to play for the Little Flyers organization the past three seasons. A special thank you to Russ Sinkewich and the Ohio Hockey Project for the summer skill sessions that allow me to put in the work during the offseason.  Finally, I would like to thank Coach Angers and Coach Bailey for reaching out and giving me the chance to play NCAA hockey. I am extremely excited to be joining them in the Fall.”

Lewandoski and the Little Flyers are just one win away from Providence and the EHL Frozen Finals, and they will look to punch their ticket this afternoon when they host the Connecticut RoughRiders at 3:30pm.
