Final Day of the Round Robin, with Every Team Still Alive

PROVIDENCE, RI - We've made it to the final day of the Round Robin, and the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is ready to find out which two teams will be advancing to the Championship Game on Sunday. For the final day, the matchups put each team up against their conference opponent, as the Philadelphia Revolution take on the Philadelphia Little Flyers at 10:00am, followed by the New Hampshire Avalanche and Boston Jr. Rangers at 1:00pm. Below you'll find breakdowns of what took place yesterday, and what each team needs to do in order to make it to Championship Sunday. Be sure to follow along on social media using #EHLFrozenFinals, and you can watch the action LIVE all weekend long at EHL.HockeyTV.com. If you're planning on coming to Schneider Arena, the entire weekend is FREE admission.

Round Robin Scenarios

The Little Flyers are the team in the most control of their own destiny, after beating the Rangers 4-3 in overtime on Thursday and then knocking-off the Avalanche by the score of 2-1 last night. For the Little Flyers a win or an overtime loss clinches their spot in the EHL Championship Game.

The Avalanche are the team with the next best odds, as they will know exactly what they need to do following the matchup between the Little Flyers and the Revolution. If the Little Flyers win that game, whether it's in regulation or overtime, that would mean a win for the Avalanche over the Rangers gets them to Sunday.

If the Revolution win, they must do so in regulation, to avoid winding up in a potential tie-breaker with the Avalanche. New Hampshire owns that tie-breaker due to their victory over the Revolution in the very first game of the tournament.

The Revolution kept their hopes alive yesterday when they shutout the Rangers 4-0, and they will be cheering for the Rangers today if they knock-off the Little Flyers first.

As for the team currently in 4th place, the Rangers still have life if the Little Flyers win. As mentioned above, whether it goes to overtime or not, a Little Flyers victory turns the Avalanche-Rangers matchup into a win-or-go-home affair.

The obvious conclusion to all this is that if you don't win your game today, then there is a chance your team is going home. Also, we have a chance for a three-way tie that would push us all the way to the second tie-breaker.
