RoughRiders All-Star Forward Set to Join Foresters this Fall

NORWALK, CT -- Cullen Kane, a forward for the Connecticut RoughRiders, has committed to Lake Forest College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 just finished his first season in the EHL, tallying 76 total points in 50 games for the RoughRiders.

"Cullen Kane was a marvelous offensive forward for us this past season, with wonderful on-ice vision and super play-making skills," said RoughRiders head coach and general manager Eric Lind. "Cullen’s individual stick-handling and puck control made him an opponent’s nightmare night-to-night. He also exhibited tremendous team leadership abilities in the locker room and on the bench throughout the season.”

The cousin of Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks), Cullen was his team's representative on this year's EHL All-Star Team. While the RoughRiders season ended sooner than they had hoped in the Second Round of the EHL Playoffs, the native of New York and his teammates still have a lot to be proud of.

Kane is now heading to Lake Forest, where he will be joined by William Lebel of the Walpole Express. The Foresters play out of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA), which is filled with some of the top teams in all of Division III hockey. The conference that also includes the 2017-18 National Champions (St. Norbert), will be welcoming in nine former EHL players this Fall.
