Wolves Forward Set to Join Pair of Teammates this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Zander Allen, a forward for the New England Wolves, has committed to Framingham State University for the Fall of 2018. The '97 just finished his second season with the Wolves at the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) level, after spending the 2015-16 campaign with the team at the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) level. Over his three years of junior hockey, the native of Rochester, NH racked up 55 points in 44 EHLP games, and 38 points in 95 EHL games.

"Zander sets a tremendous example with his on-ice grit and determination," said Wolves head coach and general manager Andrew Trimble. "He's very adaptable, and can be used in all situations. I am very happy for Z, and proud of this next step he is taking. FSU is getting a tremendous player and person to add to their room."

While the season ended sooner than Allen and the Wolves had hoped, one major highlight was the forward's performance against the Valley Jr. Warriors on February 4th. Allen's four-goal night led the way to a big Wolves victory, and he was later named the EHL's Forward of the Week for his performance (TSR Hockey Stars of the Week #22). Allen is one of three Wolves that have committed to join the Rams, as he will meet up with Rodahn Evans and Anthony Thurston when they arrive on campus this Fall. All three players developed for at least one year at the EHLP level.
