Seahawks Forward Set to Join New Program this Fall

HYANNIS, MA -- Jake Huss, a forward for the Total Athletics Seahawks, has committed to Anna Maria College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 just finished his first season with the Seahawks, and is one of 13 commits from the team's inaugural season in the EHL.

"Jake was a great teammate and a guy that was extremely coachable," said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni. "I am very happy for Jake and his family as he will play for a great coach and get a fantastic degree."

Huss will go from one inaugural season to another, as the Amcats get set to begin play at the Division III level this Fall. The native of Pennsylvania is one of the nine EHL players who will look to help establish the foundation for the program. Huss is up for the challenge, and he took some time to give his thanks.

"I am proud to announce my commitment to Anna Maria College to continue my academic and athletic career," said Huss. "I am very excited to have an opportunity to play at the NCAA level and would like to thank my parents, coaches, and teammates for all their support; as well as the Seahawks organization, from the owners to the staff, they put together a team that made coming to the rink truly amazing. I would like to especially thank Coach Zaniboni for helping me reach my goal of playing college hockey. He pushed me to be a better player and person on and off the ice. Thank you to everyone, I wouldn't of wanted to end my junior career anywhere else."
