30% OF GAMES DECIDED BY 1 GOAL

This past season, all 16 EHL teams completed a 50-game regular season schedule. Of the 50 total games, all 16 teams played 21 "true" home and road games, with their final eight games taking place during showcase play. All in all, the EHL once again showed its parity, as just under 30% of the league's games were decided by a single goal (29.70%). Below you'll find a breakdown for both the regular season and the postseason.

400 REGULAR SEASON GAMES
148 Games = 37.00% of games have been decided by 2 goals or less.
118 Games = 29.50% of games have been decided by 1 goal.
40 Games = 10.00% of games have been decided in overtime.
12 Games = 3.00% of games have been decided in a shootout.

24 PLAYOFF GAMES

NORTH VS. SOUTH

Last, but not least, we look at the battle between the North Conference and the South Conference. Led in large part by an 11-5 margin at the November Showcase, the North Conference took home the bragging rights for the 2017-18 season.

  • North Conference - 73 Wins
  • South Conference - 48 Wins

An interesting note shows that in 32 total showcase games played at Rodman Arena (October and December Showcases), the two conferences were split dead even at 16-16.
