RoughRiders Defenseman Set to Join Ravens this Fall

NORWALK, CT -- Stephen Pantera, a defenseman for the Connecticut RoughRiders, has committed to Franklin Pierce for the Fall of 2018. The '97 from Hamden, CT just wrapped up his second season with the RoughRiders, finishing his final year of juniors having played in 86 career games in the EHL.

"Stephen was a solid defensive defenseman for us with great and powerful skating ability," said RoughRiders head coach and general manager Eric Lind. "He had a high work rate and very good passing skills in moving the puck up ice. He played an aggressive brand of hockey, especially around the crease and was successful for us as a shutdown defenseman.”

Pantera is one of two EHL players from 2017-18 season who will be joining the Ravens this Fall. Anthony Nikolopolous of the Boston Jr. Rangers, made the same decision back in March. Overall, the Franklin Pierce Ravens have made commitments with 25 different EHL players since the league was formed back in 2013.
