Applecore Goaltender Set to Join Amcats this Fall

BREWSTER, NY -- Mark Siegel, a goaltender for the New York Applecore, has committed to Anna Maria College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 just finished his third season in the EHL, and first with the Applecore. The native of Mahopac, NY put together a solid final season of junior hockey, racking up 11 wins to go along with a 2.69 GAA and .900 save percentage.

Siegel is now set to kick-off his collegiate hockey career this Fall, and hopes to play a key role in establishing the foundation for the Anna Maria hockey team. The Amcats will begin play at the Division III level as an independent school, and their roster already includes ten players from seven different organizations in the EHL. Of all his future teammates, Siegel will be most familiar with Nicholas Kukuris of the Connecticut RoughRiders, as the two veterans have been opponents in the same division for the past two years.
