Express Forward Set to Join Golden Eagles this Fall

WALPOLE, MA -- Trevor Pray, a forward for the Walpole Express, has committed to SUNY Brockport for the Fall of 2018. After spending the 2016-17 season playing for the Express in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP), the '98 transitioned well to the EHL level. In 52 total games for the Express this past season, Pray racked up 42 points to his name.

"Trevor is going to be hard to replace. He made an incredible transition from playing in the EHLP to the EHL in just one season, and was able to help our club to one of its best seasons yet," said Express head coach and general manager Jon Lounsbury. "His ability to score goals in tight areas is going to help him become a very successful college player. I can't wait to see what he can do at the next level."

A couple seasons ago at the EHLP level (2016-17 campaign), the New York native led his team in scoring with 53 points in 40 regular season games. Pray is excited about his future, and took some time to thank those who've helped him along the way.

"My experience in the EHL and playing for the Walpole Express was extremely valuable in pursuing my college goals," said Pray. "I want to thank Coach Lounsbury and Coach Polino for all the hard work they do with developing players on and off the ice. They have taught me to be a better hockey player and have also shown the team the importance of character and commitment. I want to thank my family for their support over the years. I look forward to my next four seasons at Brockport."
