New York Promotes Assistant for 2018-19 Season

BREWSTER, NY -- The New York Applecore announced earlier this week that Brian Fahey has been named the 8th Head Coach in the history of the franchise. Fahey has been the team's Assistant Coach for the previous two seasons, while also serving as the Head Coach of the Westchester Express AAA PeeWee '06 and Midget Minor '01 teams. It's a big step for Fahey, but the young coach is ready to get started.

"I am honored, humbled, and excited to be the next Head Coach of the New York Applecore," said Fahey. "It's a privilege to be able to support and work with committed young men on their journey through life and hockey. I am beyond grateful to be supported by great people!"

Fahey played college hockey at Worcester State University and has since transitioned to a successful run as a coach at the youth and junior levels. Fahey knows he has big shoes to fill, following the departure of Graham Johnson to the MSOE Raiders. The New York Applecore are a team to keep an eye on this season in the EHL, and Fahey will look to lead the way starting September 14th against the Seahawks Hockey Club.
