Lindsay, Daluisio, and Paxson Earn EHL Weekly Honors

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) just finished off its first showcase of the season this past weekend at Rodman Arena. All 19 teams hit the ice during the 2-day event in Walpole, with 16 of the 18 games being decided by just 3 goals or less. With tons of great action and competition, this past weekend also brought with it plenty of worthy candidates for our weekly honors.

The EHL is pleased to announce that Cam Lindsay (New Jersey 87's), Nick Daluisio (Philadelphia Little Flyers), and DJ Paxson (Seahawks Hockey Club) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Week.

The action continues in the EHL with 18 more games on the schedule through Columbus Day. The next set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Week will be released on Tuesday, October 9th at 9:00am. Also, you can take a look back at the first showcase of the season, with recaps from all 18 games. Remember to catch the #Eshow all season long on HockeyTV.

FORWARD - Cam Lindsay (New Jersey 87's)

Lindsay and 87s swept the Walpole Showcase, and improved their overall record up to 4-2-0 for the season. The '99 forward from Michigan had an assist in his team's 5-4 shootout win over the Walpole Express on Sunday, and then a pair of goals in the overtime victory against the Connecticut Chiefs on Monday. It was Lindsay's 2nd tally on Monday that came in overtime, as he picked up his first career EHL game-winner. The 87s are off to a solid start in their first season in the EHL, and Lindsay will look to help keep the momentum rolling as New Jersey hosts the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights on Friday and the Lehigh Valley Jr. Rebels on Sunday.

DEFENSEMAN - Nick Daluisio (Philadelphia Little Flyers)

Speaking of momentum, the Little Flyers have had it going ever since the season opener back on September 8th. Serving as one of the team's captains this season, Daluisio was a leader once again this past weekend, as Philadelphia improved to a perfect 9-0-0 on the year. The '98 defenseman tallied 3 assists in the wins of the Vermont Lumberjacks and the Valley Jr. Warriors, giving him 10 total points for the year to date. The Little Flyers will now enjoy a short break, before they look to make it 10 in a row when they host the Philadelphia Revolution on October 10th.

GOALTENDER - DJ Paxson (Seahawks Hockey Club)

Keeping with the showcase sweep theme, the Seahawks pulled off their first in franchise history as they got wins over the Boston Jr. Rangers and the Connecticut RoughRiders. Paxson was between the pipes for the win over the Rangers on Sunday, as he turned away all 34 shots that the Rangers put on net. For the '98 that was his first shutout of the season, and 2nd of his EHL career. The Seahawks are now 3-1-2 in their first 6 games, and will be looking to make it 3 wins in a row when they host the Valley Jr. Warriors on Wednesday.

HONORABLE MENTION - Tommy Schwartz (Connecticut RoughRiders)

The RoughRiders may not have won a game this past weekend, but they did earn a pair of points in the standings. Tommy Schwartz had both goals in his team's shootout loss against the  Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights on Sunday, and then the lone goal in the RoughRider's overtime loss at the hands of the Seahawks Hockey Club on Monday. Through 5 games, Schwartz has tallied 4 goals and 2 assists to his name.
