Murphy, Usalis, and Girard Earn EHL Weekly Honors

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is back in full swing, following a stretch that included 20 games over the past 5 days. With 17 of the 19 teams hitting the ice, there are plenty of worthy performances for our weekly honors.

The EHL is pleased to announce that Jon Murphy (Seahawks Hockey Club), Tim Usalis (East Coast Wizards), and Billy Girard (Boston Jr. Rangers) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Week.

We keep rolling through the regular season, with at least 1 game per day for the next week. The upcoming schedule includes all 19 teams, and 23 total games. The next set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Week will be released on Tuesday, November 6th at 9:00am. Remember to catch the #Eshow all season long on HockeyTV.

FORWARD - Jon Murphy (Seahawks Hockey Club)

Murphy and the Seahawks won all 3 of their games this past week, knocking off the Vermont Lumberjacks on Wednesday, and then sweeping their home-and-home series against the Connecticut Chiefs on Saturday and Sunday. After tallying just 3 points in his first 9 games of the season, the '99 forward scored 3 goals and dished out a pair of assists this past week. Included in Murphy's 5-point week, were the game-winning goals on Wednesday and Sunday. With the perfect week, the Seahawks are now 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, and they find themselves in 1st place in their division. Murphy will look to continue to pace the offense with a big matchup scheduled against the New Jersey 87's on Friday.

DEFENSEMAN - Tim Usalis (East Coast Wizards)

Usalis and the Wizards won their only game of the weekend, knocking off the New York Applecore by the score of 7-1 on Saturday night. In total, 13 players tallied at least a point for the Wizards in the win, and Usalis led the way on the blue with a goal and 2 assists. For the season, the '99 now has an even 3 goals and 3 assists through his first 12 games. Usalis and the Wizards have also won 4 straight, and they have a big stretch coming up on their schedule. With the victory, the native Boca Raton, FL is now 3-0-1 for the season, to go along with a 1.48 GAA and .957 save percentage. Girard will look to continue to anchor his team as they travel to take on the New England Wolves on Saturday, and the New Hampshire Avalanche on Sunday.
