Applecore Forward Set to Join Colonels in the Fall of 2019

BREWSTER, NY -- Kyle Warren, forward for the New York Applecore, has committed to Wilkes University for the fall of 2019.

The '98 native of Hatfield, MA is in his 2nd season with the Applecore, and has been one of his team's most reliable scorers over the course of his career in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

Looking back at last year, Warren scored 15 goals and dished out 17 assists in 39 total games. Included in Warren's 32 points were a pair of game-winners during the regular season, as well as the crucial tally that sent New York past the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights and into the 2nd Round of the EHL Playoffs.

Looking ahead, Warren is now set to join a new program that just kicked-off their inaugural season at the Division III level. When Warren joins the Colonels next Fall, they will have recently finished their first season as an NCAA program. This year's roster for Wilkes University features 7 players with previous experience in the EHL. The #Eshow is hoping that number only continues to grow as the 2018-19 season unfolds.

Learn more about the New York Applecore on the team's official website, and keep an eye on the 2019 NCAA commitment list as it begins to take shape.
