McEnany, Pasquini, and Stewart Earn EHL Weekly Honors

BOSTON, MA -- That does it for another busy stretch in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), as the past week featured at least 1 game per day. With 23 total games and every team hitting the ice, there are plenty of worthy performances for our weekly honors.

The EHL is pleased to announce that Kyle McEnany (Connecticut Chiefs), Jake Pasquini (New Hampshire Avalanche), and Rian Stewart (Connecticut RoughRiders) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Week.

The games roll on again this week, with 8 more matchups leading up to the 2nd showcase of the season. This upcoming Sunday and Monday will feature 10 games per day, and every EHL team in Haverhill, MA. The next set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Week will be released following the conclusion of the showcase. Remember to catch the #Eshow all season long on HockeyTV.

FORWARD - Kyle McEnany (Connecticut Chiefs)

McEnany and the Chiefs hit the ice for just 1 game this past week, but they made it count with a 6-3 victory over the Connecticut RoughRiders. The native Wylie, TX had a role in 5 of his team's 6 goals, finding the back of the net 4 times and dishing out an assist. For the season, McEnany now has 12 points and 7 assists through his first 11 EHL games. The talented scorer has been held off the scoresheet just once, and it's very apparent that McEnany is the focal point of the Chiefs offense. Playing alongside Zach Withington and Scot Lawson for most of the season, the trio of '99 forwards have combined for 48 points to date. After dropping their first 6 games of the year, the Chiefs are now 3-3-0 in their most recent 6 matchups. The week ahead includes a matchup at home tomorrow afternoon against the East Coast Wizards, and then meetings with the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers and the Philadelphia Little Flyers at the November Showcase.

DEFENSEMAN - Jake Pasquini (New Hampshire Avalanche)

Pasquini and the Avalanche kept rolling this past week, collecting victories over the Vermont LumberjacksNew England Wolves, and Boston Jr. Rangers. After dropping both games at the 1st showcase of the season, the Avalanche have gone on an 11-game winning streak and haven't looked back. Focusing in on the 3 wins this past week, Pasquini played a key role for his team on the blue line. The '99 native of Albany, NY scored a pair of goals and dished out 3 assists, running his season total up to 7 points through his first 12 games. After tallying just a pair of points through his first 9 games, Pasquini's big week helps move him much further up in the Avalanche defensive scoring rankings. He'll look to stay hot as New Hampshire hits the road for a top-5 matchup against the Seahawks Hockey Club on Wednesday, and then battles the New York Applecore and Lehigh Valley Jr. Rebels at the upcoming showcase.

GOALTENDER - Rian Stewart (Connecticut RoughRiders)

Stewart and the RoughRiders won 3 of their 4 games this past week, including a sweep of their trip to Maryland and Pennsylvania. The '99 native of Ridgfield, CT was between the pipes for the final matchup of the road trip, turning aside 51 shots yesterday afternoon against the Philadelphia Revolution. With their big victory over the Mid-Atlantic Conference opponent, the RoughRiders moved into 1st place in their division in the New England Conference. For the year, Stewart now owns a record of 3-1-2 to go along with a 2.35 GAA and .939 save percentage. Coming up, the RoughRiders will look to stay at the top of their division when they take on the Philadelphia Little Flyers in the HockeyTV Game of the Week on Sunday, and then battle the Revolution in a quick rematch on Monday.

HONORABLE MENTIONS - Ballagh, Muhr, and Meers

In a week with so much action, the EHL would be hard-pressed to not recognize a few more solid performances from the across the league.

Since joining the New Hampshire Avalanche on October 28th, Jake Ballagh has scored 6 goals and dished out 3 assists through his first 4 EHL games. Those totals include 6 points that he tallied in his team's 3 wins this past week.

Sticking with the North Division of the New England ConferenceKristofer Muhr's 30-save performance on Saturday night paved the way to his team's 4-1 victory over the Boston Jr. Rangers. With the win, the New England Wolves have now taken 3 of their last 4 games, and the native of Colorado has been between the pipes for all of those victories.

Wrapping up this week's set of honorable mentions, Justin Meers helped pace the offense for the Philadelphia Revolution as they won 3 of their 4 games. The '98 scored 3 goals and dished out 6 assists, running his season total up to 38 points for the year. The EHL All-Star is also now tied for the league-lead in scoring.
