Doney Headlines Top Performers from November

BOSTON, MA -- We've reached the final 4 weeks of the calendar year, and the past 11 months have been excellent across the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). Focusing in on November in particular, the EHL saw plenty of great performances from all of the teams and players throughout the league. With all the top-notch performances, the EHL was presented with many worthy candidates for our third set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Month.

The EHL is pleased to announce that Jake Ballagh (New Hampshire Avalanche), Cory Doney (Vermont Lumberjacks), and Brendahn Brawley (Philadelphia Little Flyers) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Month for November.

The Stars of the Month will all receive a $20 TSR Hockey gift certificate.

Scroll down to read about each player's set of November performances, and remember to catch the #Eshow action all year long on HockeyTV.

Jake Ballagh

Ballagh and the Avalanche posted a perfect record of 7-0-0 in the month of November, extending their current winning streak out to 16 games. This top mark isn't just the longest streak of the 2018-19 season, but it's also the 3rd longest of its kind in the history of the EHL.

As for the '98 forward from Buffalo, NY, he has played a key role in the streak, and that includes tallying 15 points in November. Ballagh scored 7 times and dished out 8 assists, tallying at least 1 point in 6 of the 7 games. Since joining the Avalanche in late October, Ballagh has notched 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists) through 9 total games. The talented forward has shown a solid mix of both his scoring and play-making abilities, and he will look to keep rolling with a busy stretch for the Avalanche before the holiday break. New Hampshire has 5 tough matchups between now and December 19th, and that includes a rematch with the Philadelphia Little Flyers, who they knocked-off in a shootout earlier this season.

Cory Doney

Doney and the Lumberjacks battled their way through a tough month of November that saw them go 3-2-2 in 7 games. The '99 native of Northfield, VT was held off the scoresheet during Vermont's weekend series with the New York Applecore (11/3 and 11/4), and then tallied at least 1 point in each of his team's 5 remaining games in November. Doney scored a pair of goals and dished out 5 assists, running his season total up to 15 points in 19 total games to date.

The solid defenseman will look to stay hot as the Lumberjacks hit the ice for 6 games in the month of December. To cap of the final month of the year, Vermont will travel to take on the New Hampshire Avalanche on Wednesday, December 19th, their final game before the holiday break.

Brendahn Brawley

We officially wrap-up the month of November with our first repeat monthly award winner of the season. Brawley was named the top goaltender in the month of September, after posting a 6-0-0 record with a 1.37 GAA and .954 save percentage. Flipping back to November, and the '98 netminder posted very similar numbers. The native of Morton, PA went 4-0-0 this past month with a 1.30 GAA and .955 save percentage.

For the season, Brawley now owns a mark of 12-2-1 to go along with a 1.99 GAA, a .937 save percentage, and a league-leading 4 shutouts. Brawley unfortunately saw his 5-game winning streak snapped yesterday afternoon at the hands of the New Jersey 87's, but he will get a great chance to build a new streak with 6 more games left on December schedule for the Little Flyers.
