League Alums Sweep Weekly CCC Honors

BOSTON, MA -- Another week in the books, and the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) continues to see its alumni making noise at the next level. Throughout the country, every NCAA conference does there own version of weekly honors, and you can find EHL connections on a very consistent basis. This past week is another prime example, as all three honorees in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) are #Eshow alumni.

Zach White -- New York Applecore -- Curry College

Zach White is a senior at Curry College and he also serves as his team's captain. White was just named the CCC Player of the Week after helping lead his team to a weekend sweep of the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Looking back on his time in the EHL, and White spent the 2014-15 season with the New York Applecore tallying 44 points in 42 total games that year.

Blake Wojtala -- New York Applecore -- Salve Regina University

Sticking with the New York Applecore theme, Blake Wojtala came to the EHL during the 2013-14 season, and then was White's teammate the following year. Wojtala is now a senior at Salve Regina University and is one of the top net minders in all of Division III hockey. Wojtala was just named the Goaltender of the Week in the CCC for the third time this season. The Seahawks' anchor turned in a pair of back-to-back 32-save performances, that helped lift his team to the top of conference standings.

Austin Morgan -- Philadelphia Revolution -- University of New England

Last, but not least, we wrap things up with Austin Morgan, an alum of the Philadelphia Revolution. The '97 forward is a freshman at the University of New England and he was just named the Rookie of the Week in the CCC, after tallying four points in a weekend sweep of Endicott College.
