RoughRiders Forward Set to Join the Camels this Fall

NORWALK, CT -- Brett Moccia, a forward for the Connecticut RoughRiders, has committed to Connecticut College for the fall of 2019.

The '99 native of Lake Forest, IL is in his first season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), and to date, he's tallied 48 points (16 goals, 32 assists) through 39 total games.

"He has learned to lean on his speed and skill this season," said RoughRiders head coach and general manager Eric Lind. "He can get into the zone using his speed or his soft hands. He can score and drive the play."

With Moccia's commitment, the EHL has now sent at least one player per season to the Camels, ever since the league was formed back in 2013. Moccia is the latest to add his name to this group, as he's hoping he will be able to carry his scoring touch with him to the next level.

Looking ahead for Moccia and the RoughRiders, they would be the #6 seed in the New England Conference if the playoffs started today. Connecticut has six games remaining to try and improve on their position, starting with matchups this weekend against the New England Wolves and the Valley Jr. Warriors.
