Applecore and Bobcats Alumnus Makes it Back-to-Back for the EHL

BOSTON, MA -- Tim Sestak, an alum of the New York Applecore and the New York Bobcats, has been named the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Year. In his junior year at Wesleyan University, the '95 from Darien, CT owned a record of 14-4-1 to go along with a stellar 1.65 GAA and .946 save percentage. Sestak also earned a spot on the All-NESCAC First Team, alongside his teammate Walker Harris, who spent the 2015-16 season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) with the Connecticut RoughRiders.

Sestak is the second Wesleyan University player to earn the award, and to go along with his league-leading save percentage, the talented netminder also racked up seven shutouts this year. Sestak is the third straight goalie to win the award, and the second straight EHL alum, as Connor Rodericks claimed the honor last year.
