Wolves Forward Set to Join Lancers in the Fall of 2017

LACONIA, NH -- Haakon Hundsnes, a forward for the New England Wolves, has committed to Worcester State University for the Fall of 2017. Hundsnes joined the Wolves halfway through the season after starting with Moss Hockey on an amateur contract in the Norway 2 Hockey League. The Norwegian registered 4 goals and 11 assists for 15 points in his 24 games played with the Wolves.

“Haakon came to us late in the season and he improved our team immediately. He can play in all situations and he will have no trouble adjusting to the college pace," said Wolves 2016-17 head coach Brett Tryder.

Steve Jacobs, the Owner and General Manager of the Wolves, also shared praise for Hundsnes.

“Haakon is a great competitor and rugged two-way player.  He plays with energy and passion and is as determined a player as you will see.  He is a smart, instinctive player who plays a balanced game.  We are happy for Haakon to achieve his dream of playing college hockey after taking a chance coming to the USA to play in the EHL. We all feel he will make an immediate impact at Worcester State,” said Jacobs.
