Little Flyers Forward Climbs Ladder to NCAA Hockey

ASTON, PA -- Tyler Page, a forward for the Philadelphia Little Flyers, has committed to Anna Maria College for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Charlotte, NC recently finished his second and final season with the Little Flyers. Page began his junior hockey career back in the 2021-22 season with the Philadelphia at the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) level. While helping to lead his team to the Frozen Finals that year, Page finished the season with 30 points in 47 total games.

The productive campaign led Page up to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) this past season, finishing the year with seven points to his credit.

"We are all very happy for Tyler and the progress he has made in the past two years with the Little Flyers," said Little Flyers head coach and general manager Mark Catron. "Going from a kid that wasn’t sure he wanted to continue playing after his final year of 18U, to now making an NCAA commitment tells you everything about the work that Tyler has put in. Tyler did a lot of little things right in the stretch run of the season to help get us back to Providence, including a big game-winning goal in the beginning of February against a division opponent. His forechecking and ability to create turnovers might not always show up in the box score but we know those things he did consistently helped us win hockey games this season."

As Catron mentioned, Page played a key role in getting back to Providence again this past season, as he can now put on his resume a pair of Frozen Finals appearances, one at the EHLP level and one at the EHL level.

Overall, Page is beyond grateful that his hockey journey took him to the Little Flyers, which led to this moment.

“I am honored to announce my commitment to Anna Maria to continue my academic and athletic career," said Page. "I’d like to thank God for all he has done in my life. I’d also like to thank my family, especially my dad for putting me in a position to succeed. Lastly, I’d like to thank Coach Catron, Anthony Lorusso and my teammates for giving me a great two years at Little Flyers. I am very grateful for the coaching staff at Anna Maria for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to be a part of their program. Go Amcats!”

Page and fellow Little Flyers' forward Caleb Cathcart are part of a seven-player class of players that the EHL is sending to Anna Maria this fall.
