Philly HC All-Star Forward Set to Join Corsairs this Fall

SEWELL, NJ -- Nolan Wutzke, a forward for the Philadelphia Hockey Club (PHC), has committed to UMass Dartmouth (UMD) for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Canada chose PHC for his final season of junior hockey, and over the course of 35 total Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games this past year, Wutzke tallied 31 total points to his credit on 13 goals and 18 assists.

The Corsairs have always been heavy recruiters of the EHL, as Wutzke goes in the books as the 46th player in league history to choose UMD. Overall, he's one of four EHL players from the 2022-23 season heading off to UMD this fall, as he will team up with Connor Little of the Boston Jr. Rangers, and both Roscoe Eade and Luke Jordan of the Connecticut Chiefs when he arrives on campus.

“I’m extremely excited to continue both my academics and athletics at a great program where I think I can excel," said Wutzke. "I couldn’t have done it without the help of Coach [Jeff] Perreault and Coach [Doug] Shea and their connections and focus on moving guys on to the next level.”
