Wizards All-Star Forward Set to Join Golden Eagles this Fall

BEDFORD, MA -- Connor Roach, a forward for the East Coast Wizards, has committed to SUNY Brockport for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Miami Beach, FL spent the last two seasons with the Wizards, developing in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). Overall, in 92 career games in the EHL, Roach tallied 84 points to his credit on 32 goals and 52 assists.

“Connor was a huge cog in our offense these past two seasons," said Wizards head coach and general manager Kory Falite. "After leading the team in scoring his first year, he finished off his junior career in the top 15 in points this year. We are excited to see his hard work pay off with his commitment to Brockport, and we’re looking forward to watching him succeed at the next level.”

After competing in the 2022 EHL All-Star Classic this past November, Roach will hit the ice during the upcoming 2023 EHL All-Star College Series in October, just on the other side. For the second consecutive season, Brockport is scheduled to face-off against the EHL's Main All-Star Team in October.

In total, the EHL is sending sending seven more players off to join the Golden Eagles this fall, as Brockport continues to be one of the heaviest recruiters of the league.

“I would like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for all of their support throughout the years,” said Roach. “I am grateful for the opportunity to play college hockey at Brockport, and I cannot wait to get started this fall.”
