Chiefs All-Star Forward Set to Join Leopards this Fall

NEWINGTON, CT -- Ethan Lim, a forward for the Connecticut Chiefs, has committed to the Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Miami, FL returned to the Chiefs program this past year, to wrap-up his junior hockey career in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). Combined between the regular season and postseason this past year, Lim hit the ice for 45 total games, tallying 47 points along the way with 24 goals and 23 assists.

“Ethan is a dynamic player who should thrive in Coach [Jay] Pecora’s environment,” said Chiefs head coach and general manager Greg Heffernan. "He is a high-end academic student and has boatloads of upside as a college player. What a great fit for both Lim and the Leopards.”

As mentioned before, Lim had previously skated for the Chiefs program, just at the 18UAAA back in the 2020-21 season. Lim's return ultimately led to this moment, and for that, he feels very grateful.

“I would like to thank my family, teammates, Coach Heffernan and the Chiefs coaching staff for developing me both on and off the ice and enjoying everyday at the rink in Newington," said Lim. "I also want to thank Coach Pecora and the Wentworth hockey coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to further my hockey career while pursuing an education. I'm looking forward to being a Leopard for the next four years!”
