Wizards Netminder Set to Join Pair of Teammates this Fall

BEDFORD, MA -- Theo Jacobs, a goaltender for the East Coast Wizards, has committed to Franklin Pierce University (FPU) for the fall of 2023.

The '03 native of Hingham, MA chose the Wizards for what turned out to be his first and only season of junior hockey. Ultimately, the decision to come to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) led to this commitment to FPU.

“Theo was an amazing teammate this season, and although he was hurt all year, he never missed a day to contribute in any way possible," said Wizards head coach and general manager Kory Falite. "We are so glad things worked out for him after a tough year.”

As Falite mentioned, Jacobs battled injuries throughout the season, but persevered by landing this commitment. When Jacobs arrives on campus this fall, he will reunited with both Nick Fish and Rocco Seery, his 2022-23 Wizards teammates that also chose the Ravens' program in the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10).

“I’d like to thank my coaches, my family, and my teammates,” said Jacobs. “I want to thank Coach Falite for supporting me all season long and I am very excited to be joining a couple of my teammates at Franklin Pierce.”

The rest of the incoming freshmen class at FPU includes Nathanel Peretz from the New England Wolves, Nick Tessier from the New Hampshire Avalanche, Todd Branish from the New Jersey 87's, Max Banoun from the New York Apple Core, and John Sterling from the Seahawks Hockey Club.
