Express Captain Set to Join Teammate with the Yellow Jackets this Fall

WALPOLE, MA -- Brady Klemmensen, a forward Express Hockey Club, has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Superior for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Edina, MN spent the past two seasons with the Express, and over the course of 92 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Klemmensen tallied 23 points to his credit on 13 goals and 10 assists.

"I truly can’t put in to words how important of a roll Brady played on our team," said Express head coach and general manger Nic Cota. "His leadership qualities are top notch, along with a great personality. His hard work and determination, to not only better himself, but also his teammates, is special to see. I’m extremely humbled to have had Brady as the Captain of the 2022-23 Express Hockey Club. I, myself, and the Express are so happy for Brady, and congratulate him and his family on his commitment to Wisconsin-Superior. We look forward to watching his hard work and good character pay off!"

Klemmensen is one of two players heading off to Superior this fall, both of which played for the Express this past season. Klemmensen and Jack Boschert are the first two direct NCAA Commitments to the school in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), in the history of the league.

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to compete for the UW-Superior hockey program," said Klemmensen. "I want to thank my family, friends, coaches, and the Express Hockey Club for their support and encouragement while I have pursued the goal of playing NCAA hockey. I have developed lifelong friendships and grown so much as a person during my hockey experience at Gilmour Academy and with the Express. It's been an incredible journey. UW-Superior’s academic programs are a great fit with my career interests and after visiting the beautiful campus near Lake Superior, I was all in. I can’t thank Coach Cota enough for the great season, and I’m super excited to be close to home and to get started at UW-Superior.”
