Apple Core Forward Set to Join Lumberjacks this Fall

BREWSTER, NY -- Dyson Germann, a forward for the New York Apple Core, has committed to Northland College for the fall of 2023.

The '02 native of Canada joined the Apple Core part way through this past season (2022-23), and over the course of 28 total games in Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Germann tallied 14 points to his credit on four goals and nine assists.

Germann brings the commitment total up to five for New York for the 2022-23 season, and he's one of two EHL players heading off to Northland this fall. The other player who chose the Lumberjacks' program is Mitchell Taylor from the Boston Jr. Rangers.

“I would like to thank my family for supporting me in my goal of playing NCAA hockey," said Germann. "I would have not had this opportunity without Coach [Lenny] Caglianone, and my teammates at the Apple Core who welcomed me onto the team with open arms. Playing for the Apple Core has been the highlight of my hockey journey, and I’m glad I got to be a part of the team. I’m grateful for the chance to further my academic and athletic career at Northland College.”

The 2023-24 Apple Core team kicks off their new season on Wednesday, September 20th, when they play host to the Connecticut Chiefs at Brewster Ice Arena.
