Philadelphia Hockey Club All-Star Captain Set to Join Knights This Fall

SEWELL, NJ -- Elijah Clow, a forward for the Philadelphia Hockey Club, has committed to Arcadia University for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Sault Ste. Marie, MI is in his second season with the Philadelphia Hockey Club, and first serving as the team's captain. Overall, in 69 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Clow has tallied 27 total points to his credit on seven goals and 20 assists.

"It is a pleasure to announce Elijah Clow's NCAA Commitment to Arcadia University," said PHC head coach and general manager Adam Bartholomay. "Clow exemplifies exactly what we at PHC believe are the standards for every player and wish him nothing but the best at Arcadia. Clow has been a part of our PHC Family from our inaugural season and it is no surprise he finishes his junior hockey career by committing to an NCAA Division III program."

As Bartholomay mentioned, Clow has been a part of the PHC organization for the last five seasons, dating back to his development with the 18U and 16U teams. The climb up the ladder was long, by Clow is proud to have reached the top by securing his spot for next fall.

"I'd like to start out by thanking my family and the coaches at Philadelphia Hockey Club for giving me the opportunity and supporting me for the past 5 years and bringing me to where I need to be in life as a person and player," said Clow. "I am extremely excited to become a Knight for the next four years and defend the castle."

The top highlight for Clow so far this season would have to be serving as the captain of the Central/South All-Star Team that took on Stevenson University and Lebanon Valley College back in mid-October. That experience, along with the rest of the development that he has displayed over the years, has Arcadia feeling excited about the player they are getting.

"We are thrilled to have Elijah join the Knights next season and appreciate his belief in our program and where are headed," said Arcadia head coach Pat Carroll. "His style of play will be a nice addition to our offense and we look forward to watching him develop even further over the next four years."

Coming out of the holiday break in January, Clow and his PHC teammates will begin the stretch run in 5th place in the South Division standings. That means if the playoffs started today, PHC would be on the road for the Play-In Game in the South. However, with 17 regular season games still remaining and a tight set of standings, Clow will look to lead his team through the final nine weeks of the year and into the postseason in the best position possible.
