Bears Defenseman Set to Join Flying Dutchmen this Fall

FLEMINGTON, NJ -- Aidan Bright, a defenseman for the New Jersey Bears, has committed to Lebanon Valley College (LVC) for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Mars, PA is in his first season with Bears, after spending the 2022-23 campaign with the Express Hockey Club in the East Division of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). Overall, in 69 career games to date, Bright has tallied 14 points to his credit on four goals and 10 assists.

"I'm really excited for Aidan, LVC was a top choice for him because of their hockey program and fantastic sports medicine program," said Bears head coach Jason Kilcoyne. "I'm really looking forward to following him throughout his next four years at LVC."

It's worth pointing out the progress that Bright is displaying this season, as five of his 14 career points have come so far this year, which puts him on a great pace to set a new career high for himself, in his final season of junior hockey.

"I want to thank my family, coaches, and teammates that got me to this point," said Bright. "I am excited to get my collegiate hockey career started this fall."

Prior to that, Bright can now put his full attention towards the stretch run of the regular season, as the Bears battle it out for the top seed in the South Division standings.
