Huntsmen Defenseman Finishes Climb to NCAA Hockey

EXTON, PA -- Aidan Parker, a defenseman for the Pennsylvania Huntsmen, has committed to Misericordia University for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Medfield, MA began his junior hockey career at the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) level with the Express Hockey Club, and after posting 33 points in 41 games, Parker was named the 2021-22 Defenseman of the Year in the EHLP.

Following that season, Parker made the full-time job up to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) level, hitting the ice last year with Team Maryland and this year with the Huntsmen. Overall, in 52 career games in the EHL, Parker has tallied nine total points to his credit.

"Aidan has been working hard on his development and it’s paying off," said Huntsmen head coach Matt Reid. "He may be small in stature but makes up for it with his skating and compete. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for him in the future."

That future will send Parker off to a brand new program with Misericordia University, as he gets to help the Cougars lay the foundation for their new program in NCAA Division III hockey. Parker is looking forward to the challenge, but also grateful to everyone that helped him along the way.

"From my first game in the EHLP, to my current age-out season, I’ve looked forward to this day," said Parker. "I’m extremely proud to be a part of the first-ever team to hit the ice at Misericordia. After touring the campus, I immediately knew it was the place for me. I want to thank all my coaches who have helped me along the way, and especially want to thank my family and friends for their support. I look forward to finishing out the season strong and joining Misericordia this fall."

Parker and the Huntsmen find themselves right in the thick of things in the South Division, with 10 games remaining on their regular season schedule.
