The '03 native of Greensburg, PA chose the Bears for his age-out season of junior hockey, and through 22 total starts in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) to date, Frye has compiled a record of 14-7-1 to his name.

"I have watched Carson grow as an athlete and person over the last two years," said Bears head coach Jason Kilcoyne. "He has put in so much work to get better everyday. River Falls is getting a competitor and getting a goalie that gives you a chance to win every game he starts. I'm so proud of him!"

As Kilcoyne alluded to, he has coached Frye the past two seasons, as the 6'6 netminder player for him last year with the New Jersey Rockets in the USPHL Premier.

"I would like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for pushing me to be the best I can be everyday," said Frye. "I'm so excited to start the next chapter of my life with hockey and academically at UWRF."

Frye goes in books as just the second player in league history to commit to UWRF, and 20th player in league history to choose a school in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

With this commitment now official, the All-Star goaltender can turn his full attention towards the stretch run. If the postseason began today, Frye and the Bears would be the #1 seed in the South Division Playoffs.
