Philadelphia Hockey Club Forward Set to Join Cougars this Fall

SEWELL, NJ -- Gabe Reis, a forward for the Philadelphia Hockey Club (PHC), has committed to Misericordia University for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Tenafly, NJ is in his second season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), and first full year with PHC. Overall, in 71 career EHL games to date, Reis has tallied 10 points to his credit on seven goals and three assists.

"PHC is extremely proud of our Assistant Captain [Gabe Reis] on his commitment," said PHC head coach and general manager Adam Bartholomay. "His hard work, dedication, and personality, both on and off the ice, will be a great addition to Misericordia University. Thank you to Cougars' Head Coach [Kevin Cole], and we wish them the best of luck this fall."

The Cougars will be kicking-off their inaugural season at the NCAA Division III level this fall, and so far to date, their incoming freshmen class includes four total players from around the EHL. When Reis arrives on campus, he will become new teammates with Will Moran of Team Maryland, Aidan Parker of the Pennsylvania Huntsmen, and Antoine Robidoux of the New Hampshire Avalanche.

"I am beyond grateful that God has led me to Misericordia," said Reis. "I'd like to hank my mom for inspiring me, my dad for trusting me, and Coach Bartholomay for helping me get to this point. I'm looking forward to starting something special next season."

With this weight now off of his shoulders, Reis will turn his full attention towards the stretch run, and the push for the postseason. Reis and his teammates would be the #5 seed in the South Division Playoffs if the regular season ended today.
