Lumberjacks All-Star Captain Set to Join Roos this Fall

BURLINGTON, VT -- Hayden Bullock, a forward for the Vermont Lumberjacks, has committed to SUNY Canton for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Norfolk, NY is in his third season with the Lumberjacks, and second full year at the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) level. Bullock's junior hockey career began in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) back in the 2021-22 season, and with this commitment, he has now officially finished the climb up the ladder from the EHLP, to the EHL, and now onto NCAA hockey.

"It’s been a pleasure to take part in Hayden’s development these last three seasons within the Lumberjacks program," said Lumberjacks' EHL head coach Seth Gustin. "His commitment to playing a two-way, 200-foot game earned him recognition at both the EHL and EHLP levels. From All-Star selections and team Captain nominations, he has the abilities and work ethic that will translate well into the NCAA game. We are proud and excited to follow his continued success at SUNY Canton in the years to come."

As Gustin mentioned, throughout his time in the EHL and EHLP, Bullock has turned heads due to his offensive production. That was proven early on this season, as he was selected to the North/East All-Star Team that faced-off against Rivier University and Southern New Hampshire University back in October.

"I want to start by thanking my friends, family, and coaches for all the time and dedication they have taken to mold me into the player and person I am today," said Bullock. "Being a Lumberjack for the past 3 years has taught me how to work as a team, overcome obstacles, and develop as a player. The time I have spent in Vermont is an experience that I will never forget and will be a second home for me forever, and I hope to stay in touch with all the boys for years to come."

Bullock and his Lumberjacks' teammates are geared up and ready for the final showcase of the season, which is set to take place this weekend at IceWorks Skating Complex in Aston, PA. Vermont will hit the ice for three games, with the hopes of securing a spot in the upcoming North Division Playoffs.
