Seahawks Forward Set to Join Cadets this Fall

SOUTH DENNIS, MA -- Cory Kashul, a forward for Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to Norwich University for the fall of 2024.

The '04 native of Naperville, IL chose the Seahawks for what will end up being his first and only season of junior hockey. Overall, in 42 total Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games to date, Kashul has tallied 27 points to his credit on 12 goals and 15 assists.

"Cory is a true, 200-foot player and he enjoys the process," said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni. "He wants honest feedback and takes it and applies it to his game. He’s a good, hard-nose player, and a great person."

Kashul is the first commit of the season for the Seahawks, and second EHL player to choose Norwich as the next step in his respective career. When the 6'2 forward arrives on campus in the fall, he will team up with Cole Fagan from the Valley Jr. Warriors.

"I am very honored and blessed to announce my commitment to continue my career at Norwich University," said Kashul. "I'd like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and trainers for everything they've done for me to get me to this point. I'd also like to thank the Seahawks organization and Coach Zaniboni for everything he's done for me and helping me get here. I'm beyond excited to join the excellent program Coach Ellsworth has built in Vermont, and help them win another National Championship."

As for the reminder of his current season with the Seahawks, Kashul and his teammates head to the Philadelphia Showcase needing just two points in order to clinch the #5 seed in the upcoming East Division Playoffs.
