Spartans Second-Year Forward Set to Join Gulls this Fall

EXETER, NH -- Chase LeClerc, a defenseman for the Seacoast Spartans, has committed to Endicott College for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Brentwood, NH recently finished his second and final junior hockey season with the Spartans, and over the course of 70 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), LeClerc tallied 71 total points to his credit on 23 goals and 48 assists.

"I am very excited for Chase’s commitment to Endicott,” said Spartans head coach and general manager Brett Tryder. “Chase is another career Spartan and that makes this even more satisfying. Chase does a lot of things at a very high level. He has a great feel for the game and he has been a outstanding teammate. He sees the play a step ahead of everyone else on the ice and has a lethal shot. I’m looking forward to following his career with RJ Tolan at Endicott."

As Tryder mentioned, outside of LeClerc's two junior seasons with Seacoast, he also hit the ice for the Spartans at the 16U level back in 2018-19 campaign, and for multiple years while he was growing up in New Hampshire.

The playmaking forward is beyond grateful for the journey he took, as it led him back to Exeter, and ultimately this moment in his hockey career.

"My time at Seacoast has been a journey," said LeClerc. "I started there at a very young age and I spent most of my playing years with the Spartans. The Spartans have been a family to my family and me. Playing two years for Coach Tryder, in the EHL, has developed me as a player and as a person, which is something that you look for in a junior program. The entire staff at Seacoast in unbelievable and so knowledgeable. It’s a place that players can go and know that they will get better, every day. I am very excited about attending Endicott College in the fall. Right when I had my visit I knew it was a place that I could see myself going to classes and playing hockey for four years. The hockey at Endicott speaks for itself. They are a top team, year in and year out, and they are in the hunt for a National Championship every year. I can’t wait to get on campus in the fall and I can’t thank Coach Tryder and the entire Seacoast staff enough for giving me the tools to get to the next level."
