Philadelphia Hockey Club Forward Set to Join Purple Knights this Fall

SEWELL, NJ -- Roman Winicki, a forward for the Philadelphia Hockey Club (PHC), has committed to Saint Michael's College (SMC) for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Setauket, NY chose PHC for his final season of junior hockey, and over the course of 46 total games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) last year, Winicki tallied 35 points to his credit on 13 goals and 22 assists.

"We could not be more proud to announce that Roman Winicki is committing to play his college hockey at Saint Michaels College," said PHC head coach and general manager Adam Bartholomay. "He was a leader both on and off the ice, all while leading our team in points this season. We wish Roman the best and look forward to watching him succeed in college."

Winicki is one of four EHL players that have chosen SMC for this fall, as he will team up with Cole Douglas from the New Jersey 87's, Evan Plunkett from the Seacoast Spartans, and Ian Wolanin from H.C. Rhode Island when he arrives on campus.

"I am super excited to start this next chapter of my hockey and collegiate career," said Winicki. "Would like to thank my parents and special thanks to Coach Adam for helping me get to this point. I could not have done it without the support of my family and PHC."
