Warriors Second-Year Defenseman Set to Join Greyhounds this Fall

HAVERHILL, MA -- Caden Connors, a defenseman for the Valley Jr. Warriors, has committed to Assumption University for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Tewksbury, MA recently finished his second and final season with the Warriors, and over the course of 95 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Connors tallied 62 total points to his credit on 10 goals and 52 assists.

"We couldn’t be happier for Connor and his family," said Warriors head coach and general manager Ryan McGrath. "Connor joined VJW after leading Tewksbury High School as the team's captain, to a MIAA D2 state title and worked so hard to get himself to reach his goal of studying and playing hockey at his dream school, Assumption University."

Connors is one of four EHL players that have chosen Assumption for this upcoming fall, as he will team up with Brett Baldassare of the Seacoast Spartans, Gavin Dach of the Boston Jr. Terriers, and Declan Chapman of the Railers Jr. Hockey Club when he arrives on campus.

"I can’t thank the staff at VJW for helping me elevate my game to the next level," said Connors. "They allowed me to make mistakes and become a more confident offensive threat. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help Assumption stay atop the NE-10 standings for years to come."
